About Zero to One

A place to go from idea to shipped.

Zero to One is a public leaderboard and community for founders turning loose ideas into concrete, working ventures — together, in the open, with people who actually show up.

The Inspiration

It started with a group of friends.

We used to meet to talk shop — to argue about ideas, share what we were building, and nudge each other forward. It was great, but a handful of patterns kept showing up.

We loved meeting up. But the ideas were too abstract, progress was invisible, and the table was always the same size.

Zero to One is the version of those meetups that scales — open to the public, on a leaderboard, with receipts.

What we wanted to fix

Seven things the old meetups couldn't do.

Each pillar is a problem we lived through. Each one is now baked into how Zero to One works.

01

Filter to the concrete

Ideas have to graduate from napkin to numbers. Applications force founders to name the wedge, the customer, and the next milestone.

02

Log progress in public

Every venture posts updates the whole community can see. No more hidden grind — your build journey becomes part of the record.

03

Bring more people in

A bigger room means better ideas. Anyone can apply, anyone can comment, anyone can climb the ladder.

04

Increase visibility

The leaderboard puts traction front and center. Real users, real revenue, real shipping — ranked weekly and visible to everyone.

05

Grow a community

We're stacking founders, not just startups. Tiers, badges, and Respect ranks turn lurkers into regulars and regulars into builders.

06

Real feedback, fast

Comments, reviews, and weekly group sessions give every founder a tight loop of honest, useful, expert-adjacent feedback.

07

Grow your network

Every meeting, comment, and collab compounds. The people you ship next to here are the people you'll keep building with.

How it works

From idea to ranked, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Apply with a concrete idea

Submit your venture through the application flow. We push for specifics: who it's for, what it does, and what's already been shipped.

  2. 02

    Meet the community

Approved ventures get scheduled into a group video session. Founders pitch, get feedback, and answer questions live.

  3. 03

    Post updates, climb the board

Log progress on your venture page — launches, revenue, users, lessons learned. Updates feed the leaderboard and the community.

  4. 04

    Earn badges and Respect

Hit milestones, unlock tiered badges, and rank up the Respect ladder. The trophy case is public and so is the ranking.
